Pacuare River Rafting / Manuel Antonio Beach
8 Days / 7 Nights    

Day 1  
Upon your arrival in Costa Rica, a representative of Costa Rica Sun Tours will meet you at the airport, present you with land portion vouchers and transfer you to your hotel

 

Day 1-2
1 night accommodation in San Jose at Hotel Grano de Oro (standard room) or similar
Hotel Grano de Oro is a converted Victorian mansion and maintains the warmth and comfort of a private home while offering the amenities of a fine hotel. The restaurant at the hotel is one of San José's finest.  It is located on a quiet street close to the city center, near restaurants, theaters and shop 

Day 2   
Early morning pick-up at your hotel by your bilingual river guide for the Pacuare River Camp.  En route stop for a typical Costa Rican breakfast.  After an orientation and safety talk proceed down the river and enjoy about 8 miles of rafting, stopping along the banks of the river for a picnic lunch.  A trip of pure magic, unsurpassed beauty, exuberant wildlife and  some of the best white water in the world. Along its course lie several densely vegetated gorges, which shelter ocelots, monkeys, sloths and a large variety of birds. Warm water and breathtaking scenery combine to make an unforgettable trip.  Mid-afternoon arrival at a private camp with time to relax and enjoy a rainforest hike or swim in the river falls (B.L.D)

Day 2-3
1 nights accommodation at the River Camp

Day 3
After a hearty breakfast, continue rafting down the river, enjoying the beautiful scenery as you raft through a deep canyon where the jungle meets the water, waterfalls drop down from the thousand-foot cliffs, birds fly overhead and the water is a warm temperature.  Mid-afternoon take-out and return to your San José hotel (B.L)

Day 3-4
1 night accommodation in San Jose at Hotel Grano de Oro (standard room) or similar

 

Day 4  
Morning pick up at your hotel for a transfer to the Domestic Airport in San Jose.  Domestic Flight from San Jose to Quepos and transfer to your hotel in Manuel Antonio.

Miles of sandy white beaches have made this one of the most popular parks in the national parks system. You will be able to view migrating marine birds, and the waters are warm, the surf is gentle, great for swimming, body surfing, playing with a boogie board or just relaxing.  The jungle of the national park reaches down to the beach so you can stroll through the park on your own or take a guided tour. A local sea kayak company offers day sea kayaking trips, Horses are available to rent, and there are several restaurants to choose from in the area

Day 4-5
3 nights accommodation in Manuel Antonio at Costa Verde or similar (Si Como No, El Parador, La Mariposa, La Mansion, Tulemar Bungalows and Makanda by the Sea are available at extra cost)

Day 5 & 6
Days free to enjoy the various optional activities at your own expense such as guided excursions to the National Park, ocean & river kayaking, world class sport fishing, horseback riding, canopy tours, sunset sailing, Isla Damas Estuary Tour, Rain Maker Reserve, white water rafting (subject to water levels) or simply relaxing on the beautiful beaches or at your hotel

Day 7- Manuel Antonio Beach
Pick up at your hotel for a transfer to the Domestic Airport in Quepos.  Domestic Flight from Quepos to San Jose, and transfer to your hotel

Day 7-8
1 night accommodation in Santo Domingo at Hotel Bougainvillea (standard room) or similar
Hotel Bougainvillea is a family owned and operated inn with 80 tastefully decorated rooms set in 12 acres of beautiful gardens. The restaurant offers continental cuisine in a wonderful dining room.  Guests can stroll in the gardens, swim in the heated pool, enjoy a sauna or use the tennis courts

Day 8   
Pick-up at your hotel for a departure transfer to the International Airport in San Jose to check-in 3 hours before your scheduled flight time
