Day 1
Upon your arrival in San Jose, Costa Rica, a representative of Costa Rica Sun Tours will meet you at the airport, present you with land portion vouchers and transfer you to your hotel

Day 1-2
1 nights accommodation in San Jose at Hotel Grano de Oro (standard room) or similar
Hotel Grano de Oro is a converted Victorian mansion and maintains the warmth and comfort of a private home while offering the amenities of a fine hotel. The restaurant at the hotel is one of San José's finest.  It is located on a quiet street close to the city center, near restaurants, theaters and shops

Days 2
Early morning pick-up at your hotel for a day of Biking.  Enjoy a 90 minutes drive to Birris, in the Province of Cartago, to the starting point at Jasec (Cartago’s local power supplier).  After a short briefing (demonstration on gear shifting and testing of the brakes) and bicycle safety talk, begin cycling to the Ruins of the Ujarras Church, passing through the village of Santiago and stopping at a local farm en route. Enjoy a snack at the Ruins of the Ujarras Church and after a short break continue on to the hydroelectric plant of Cachi and the town of Tucurrique, where you will have lunch with a local costarrican family, and eat the real “tico” cuisine.  After lunch continue on to Pejibaye passing through sugar cane fields arriving in the town of Atirro near Turrialba where you finish the day (L.D)

Days 2 – 3
1 nights accommodation in Turrialba at Casa Turire (standard room) or similar

In the heart of the verdant Turrialba agricultural region, this beautiful estate is enfolded by the wild Reventazón River with the imposing presence of the Turrialba Mountains forming a dramatic backdrop. Guests are drawn into an ambience of ultimate hospitality as they arrive - the relaxed refinement of a Caribbean hacienda 

 
Day 3
Morning pick-up at your hotel by your bilingual river guide for the Pacuare River Camp. After an orientation and safety talk proceed down the river.  Along the tropical river course, lays densely vegetated gorges which shelter monkeys, sloths, and an incredible variety of birds. Also found within these gorges is some of the best white water in the world. Mid-afternoon arrival at a private camp with time to relax and enjoy a rainforest hike or swim in the river falls (B.L.D)

Day 3-4
1 nights accommodation at the River Camp

Day 4
After breakfast and local hikes proceed down river for a thrilling day of whitewater rafting. Mid-afternoon take-out and continue on to hotel in the Guapiles area (B.L)

Day 4 – 5
1 night accommodation near Guapiles at Sueno Azul (standard room) or similar

Day 5
Morning pick up at your hotel for a drive to the Rio Danta Restaurant, where your luggage will be picked-up and transferred to Mawamba Lodge.  Travel through Banana Plantations until you reach the starting point in the Tortuguero National Park Ranger Station. After a short briefing and safety talk, Kayak from the boundary of the National Park on the Tortuguero River.  Have lunch along the way after paddling down river through lush forest with amazing flora & fauna.  Late afternoon arrival at Mawamba Lodge, where you can enjoy a welcome cocktail, and relax on the beautiful grounds of the hotel (B.L.D) (Total paddle time 5 to 6 hours)

Day 5-7
2 nights accommodations in Tortuguero at the Mawamba Lodge (standard room) or similar
Mawamba Lodge is nestled in the lush rain forest on a sand bar between the Tortuguero Canals and the Caribbean Ocean. Comfortable rooms with ceiling fans provide tranquil garden views. The lodge has a lovely pool surrounded by exotic gardens, nature trails to explore and a pristine beach in front.

Day 6
This morning after breakfast, you will be shuttled by boat about 25 miles towards the Colorado River, passing through Penitencia Canal until you arrive at Samay Laguna.  Here you board the kayaks to paddle in beautiful clean water in total solitude, to the magical entrance of Laguna Nueve.  A brief visit to the beach will be one of the day’s highlights.  Return to Mawamba Lodge for lunch.  The afternoon's activities are flexible, several options are available to paddle from and back to Mawamba Lodge, take one of the Lodges scheduled boat tours, or enjoy the grounds of the Lodge, including the swimming pool, Jacuzzi, nature trails, walks on the beach, or visit the village of Tortuguero (B.L.D)

Day 7   
Early morning Domestic flight from Tortuguero to San José. Upon your arrival in San José, transfer for Domestic flight to Quepos.  Upon arrival in Quepos, pick up and transfer to hotel in Manuel Antonio (B)

Day 7 – 9
2 nights accommodation in Manuel Antonio at Hotel Costa Verde or similar
Hotel Costa Verde is located on a coastal rainforest bluff overlooking the Pacific beaches of Manuel Antonio National Park near Quepos, Costa Rica.  The hotel features spacious rooms and balconies, as well as two cliffside pools with sundecks, all offering a bird's-eye view of the Park's coastline plus rainforest canopy vistas dotted with native birds and monkeys

Day 8
Morning pick-up at your hotel for a half-day tour of Manuel Antonio National Park.  Manuel Antonio is one of the country’s most popular parks because of its unique mix of beaches and forest trails.  Tour includes roundtrip transportation from your hotel, park entrance fees, and local guide. 

Afternoon pick up at your hotel for the “The Canopy  Safari” Tour, roundtrip transportation, entrance fees & lunch included.  Arrive at the ranch house set on a mountainside with a spectacular river in the background.  From the ranch house begin the adventure into the canopy of the rainforest.  Traverse from tree to tree and explore deep into the rainforest using pulleys rigged on horizontal cables, to sail through the treetops and over the trails far below.  After the adventure you will  have a chance to take a dip in a refreshing river pond to cool off before you return to your hotel (L)

Day 9
Morning pick up at your hotel for a transfer from Manuel Antonio to your hotel in San Jose stopping en route at Carara National Park.  Enjoy a guided hike in the Carara National Park, entrance fees included.  The Carara Reserve has a transitional climate and contains flora and fauna from both the hot dry northwest, and the rainy region of the southwest.  Carara's habitat includes marshes, primary and secondary forests, and is home to parrots, parakeets, toucan, trogons, Scarlet Macaws, and three species of monkeys (L)

Day 9 – 10
1 night accommodation near San Jose at Hotel Bougainvillea (standard room) or similar
The Hotel Bougainvillea is a family owned and operated inn with 80 tastefully decorated rooms set in 12 acres of beautiful gardens. The restaurant offers continental cuisine in a wonderful dining room.  Guests can stroll in the gardens, swim in the heated pool, enjoy a sauna or use the tennis courts

Day 10
Pick-up at your hotel for a departure transfer to the International Airport in San Jose to check in 3 hours before your scheduled flight time
