We are Costa Rica Connection, a nature and adventure Costa Rica travel agency that specializes in custom trips to Costa Rica, including ecotourism in Costa Rica and Costa Rica tours of all kinds. It is our desire to be your 'connection' to planning and confirming all of your Costa Rica bookings. Our experience in Costa Rica is what makes us your Costa Rica specialist. Our owner/manager is John Aspinall, a 5th generation "tico" and owner of Costa Rica Sun Tours, a major Costa Rica tour operator in country, and owner of several Costa Rica lodges and hotels. All of our Costa Rica trip advisors are well traveled in Costa Rica, and have worked a combined 30 years planning custom itineraries for clients. John was born and raised in Costa Rica. He started his own company in Costa Rica 1988 and built it into one of the foremost tour companies in the country, then branched out into the U.S. by purchasing Costa Rica Connection in 1995. Currently he runs both companies with the help of a great group of people. He was awarded the Ecotourism Excellence Award in 2000 from Convservation International. He has been President of the Tour Operators Association in Costa Rica and a member of the Advisory Council for the Recreation & Tourism Department at the California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo. Lisa is a Canadian who married a Costa Rican and lived in Costa Rica for 8 years. She helped with the tour business in Costa Rica, and now handles the bookkeeping for Costa Rica Connection. Jennie Kurtz
Jennie started with Costa Rica Connection in 1995, and has traveled to Costa Rica about 8 times taking the time to visit many hotels, check out many tours and visiting as much of the country as possible. Thus, she is very familiar with the country and has used that knowledge to help clients plan their perfect trips to Costa Rica. She is an avid birder and horticulturalist. Jose Carlos Brenes
Jose Carlos is a Costa Rican who worked in tourism in Costa Rica for 10 years, so he knows the country very well. Since moving to the U.S. he has continued to work in Costa Rican tourism helping travelers create their ideal trip. His knowledge of the country and people gives him a distinct advantage in helping clients choose the best options for their interests.
