Sirena Corcovado & Pacuare River
Travel South to the Osa Peninsula and Corcovado National Park, described by National Geographic as one of the most biologically intense places on earth. A local flight from San José will bring you to Drake Bay, were the adventure begins! Take a scenic boat ride along the Pacific Coast, arriving to Sirena Ranger Station. A 2 night stay at Sirena Station is the best way to maximize your wildlife viewing at this natural sanctuary, walking the park´s trail system with your own private local guide. After this unparalleled experience depart Sirena by boat, and arrive to the Corcovado Adventures Tent Camp, were you can continue with your exploration of the wild Osa Peninsula. Take part on a guided Boat Tour and Snorkeling Experience at the extraordinary Caño Island, a forested island biological reserve with a beautiful light sandy beach and waters that protect an abundance of marine life. Later back in the central mountains, take an exciting Pacuare River rafting class III-IV to Rios Tropicales Lodge. Next day depart the lodge with an even more fun-filled day of white water rafting class IV excitement!

Day 1: San José arrival transfer to Hotel Park Inn
Arrival. As you exit the airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Dinner on own
Day 2: Flight to Drake Bay & boat to Sirena-Corcovado National Park (B,L,D)
This morning take a flight to Drake´s Bay, the Southern Pacific Coast. Then you will be transferred by boat to Sirena Ranger Station. Enjoy a rainforest introductory walk at Sirena extensive trail system to look for monkeys, tapirs and sloths.
Day 3: Corcovado National Park trails (B,L,D)
Early optional birding walk near the Ranger´s House trails. After a healthy traditional breakfast and coffee explore with your guide the river edge trail and the beach, both are great sites to look for wildlife at this remote location of Costa Rica. Enjoy the night sounds and relax for tomorrows travel day.
Day 4: Boat transfer to Corcovado Adventure Tent Camp (B,L,D)
Take one more rainforest walk at Sirena and then a shuttle boat to Corcovado Tent Camp. After your wet landing take your time to walk the camp grounds and beaches of this beautiful setting.
Day 5: Boat and snorkeling in Caño Island (B,L,D
Today you will take a tour at the famous Isla del Caño, well known for its snorkeling, lush rainforest views and warm waters. After lunch enjoy the ocean kayaks or relax back at the lodge.
Day 6: Flight to San José & transfer to Pacuare River Lodge (B,L,D)
Early morning wake up to transfer you by boat, a taxi and a plane back to San José! Then a land transfer across the central mountains of the Braulio Carrillo National Park, all the way to the put-in of the world-famous Pacuare River. Your expert local guides will take you into class III-IV rapids to you river lodge.
Day 7: Rating Class IV and transfer to San José (B,L)
Rated one of the top rivers in the world, you’ll experience one more day of rafting class III-IV in the heart of the rainforest of Turrialba. Have a nice lunch at the headquarters of Rios Tropicales and end your journey back into the city of San Jose.
Day 8: Departure transfer to International Airport (B)
Breakfast at the hotel, and transfer to San Jose International Airport.
