Sorry for the late feedback. I wanted to thank you for what you have done. The stay in Nayara was exceptional. I would say five star. Excellent service. Very friendly and very helpful. Very very pleased and would certainly go back there. The rooms as you know in the Villa are gorgeous. The food was amazing. All our dinners where at their restaurants and we were so pleased with the food, entertainment and friendly staff that we did not need to go out of the resort. Perfect for 36 year anniversary.
Villa Calleta was also good but not as nice as Nayara. Service not as good. Certainly the views are beautiful. Room very nice but not as nice as Nayara. Food was OK.
Next time, I would choose Nayara again for 5 days followed by five days on the Pacific side but not villa calleta. Maybe a beautiful place in Manuel Antonio area. We could fly from Arenal to quepos?
The drivers were excellent and entertaining and extremely knowledgeable. Very friendly.
The rafting trip was perfect for my wife and I and she loved it. Safety is a priority and they seem to have good staff and paid close attention to safety
I’m writing to let you know how fabulous our vacation was and how much fun we had.
Everything worked out so well. Cala Luna was magnificent and we were not ready to return home. My daughters were able to try surfing and paddle boarding at the beach.
Thank you so much for all the accommodations and connections. We have great pictures and memories.
Until next time,
Good afternoon, Jose.
We were pleasantly surprised to be told that we had a free upgrade to a Master Suite at the Arenal Springs Resort and then blown away when we entered the main unit which included an in-room not springs pool for four or more persons, a bedroom including two large sofas and a large dressing area and then a bathroom larger than most hotel rooms plus an outdoor shower! We stayed in some extremely up-scale rooms on a safari in South Africa on an Abercrombie and Kent fam trip a few years ago, but in my estimation this room was better. Thank you for requesting an upgrade!! We were also quite satisfied with Arenal Springs Resort, would rate it as a solid four star although I see it has a three star rating.
Our guide from Costa Rica Sun Tours, Dauren Hidalgo, was incredibly knowledgeable, personable and service oriented. The trip was magnitudes better than we could have done on our own or taking tours through the hotel. My favorite experience was visiting Proyecto Assis where we learned about their efforts to provide healing conditions for injured and abandoned animals and birds and return them to the wild when possible.
Finally, I am telling everybody that Costa Rica is a great destination, more diverse and interesting than Hawaii and easier to get to with a non-stop 5 ½ hour flight from MSP, in the same time zone and less costly than Hawaii.
Thank you for providing a superb and very memorable experience.
I can’t think of one negative thing that I can say about the trip. It was exceptional. Well… if you can get the government to spend a lot of money on improving the road system, that would helpful.
We will certainly recommend you and your company to any of our friends who want to travel to Costa Rica. Thanks!
Thank you, I hope you are well,
This was a trip of a lifetime for our family and we can not thank you both enough! We feel like you planned a trip with the perfect amount of luxe and bohemian vibe that makes up the cool factor of Costa Rica . Palo Santo the surf company showed us the real Costa Rica surf culture . They really went the extra mile and we had so much fun with them. They were professional but so authentic in their passion for their country and surfing. It was inspiring. Loved both hotels also. Especially PRANAMAR – being so close to my mothers death the zen vibe gave me time to reflect and the budha’s and flowing pools made me RELAX!! Staring at the ocean from my hammock on my own balcony didn’t hurt either
Thanks for being so awesome to work with. You make me look good!
You are the best!
We are loving our stay in Costa Rica. We cannot express how wonderful everything has been and what a fantastic job you did planning our stay. I wanted to thank you for the guided tour around the property at the peace lodge-that was so nice of you to add that and we enjoyed learning about the different animals. I have one quick question. we wanted to go somewhere to get some souvenirs to take home. Do you recommend montezuma, tambor, or cobano?
Well said! Laurie is spot on with all the comments. Overall, it was a fabulous trip!! Mawamba was my personal favorite – an exciting way to start the trip. Our guide there was good but not great, but the animals and location were really stunning.
Some of the drives were (or just felt!) a bit longer than expected (particularly from Arenal to Manuel Antonio, not sure if a flight would have made sense), but the scenery was amazing and we did stop a few times. I will say I was glad we opted to fly out of Tortuguerra versus going back via boat and bus – the flight was not only faster but a fun adventure to be in such a small plane so I would recommend this to others. I had hoped for more animals in Manuel Antonio at Si Como No but that may just have been luck and timing, and we did see a lot in the park.
I must second that Leo and Sammy were fantastic – just the nicest guys and wonderful to travel with – five stars for both of them.
Given all the logistics and with very few exceptions things went really smoothly – drivers arrived promptly and all went according to schedule.
Thanks for checking in and for helping us plan such a memorable and amazing trip.
We can’t thank you enough and the great travel agency in Costa Rica!! It was fabulous. I’d love to write more in praise when I get a few minutes but honestly it was absolutely great. Did you ever stay the Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge? I mean really! All the places were great but this one is way over the top! You should get a gold medal for this trip. More later and, if you can take it, some photos!
I wanted to thank both of you for your help in planning such a wonderful honeymoon for Rebeca and me. We had an excellent time and enjoyed traveling around Costa Rica so much. The service everywhere we went was phenomenal and everyone from the tour company and all the hotels was helpful and friendly. We appreciate everything! Thanks again,
I just spoke with Mr. & Mrs. Campana whose honeymoon you put together in Costa Rica. They couldn’t say enough great things about their vacation and were so very excited about all they were able to do. Thank you so much for all your help. Without your expertise, I couldn’t have pulled this off.
After leaving Costa Rica on Wednesday Sheila and I visited family in Florida and just arrived home.
I wanted to let you know our feelings about our trip to Costa Rica.
As you know, we had 3 generations – ranging in age from pre teen to Sheila and myself celebrating our 50th wedding Anniversary; and that is a task – to keep all happy. I appreciate your recognition of this and the superb way the trip was organized.
We all had a great time and it exceeded our expectations. Not only were the activities perfect but Alex Arias is a gem. He bonded with our grand kids, he bonded with Sheila and myself and the middle generation had nothing but praise for him. Alex is one of those people who not only does a great job but has the ability to anticipate needs and take appropriate actions to make those opportunities better and more memorable.
I do not feel that I had a guide, but rather I feel that I made a friend. I hope that the opportunity will present itself for other visits to your wonderful country and that we will be able to do business again. Thank you again,
I want to tell you what an extraordinary time our family had in Costa Rica.
Our travel throughout the country was seamless. Each person we came in contact with through your organization was warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and professional. We were particularly taken with Pedro and Ovidio.
We also learned about futbol and are now rooting for CR Vamos Ticos!
Many thanks for all.
Hi Jose –
We had a wonderful trip and Ovidio was fabulous. We really enjoyed all of the activities – the organic farm was terrific. We had high expectations for our trip because we heard some many wonderful things about Costa Rica and they were all met!
Thanks for the arrangements – we have already recommended Sun Tours to some friends of ours who are thinking of doing this trip next year.
Thanks for all your good work in arranging much of our first week in Costa Rica.
The drivers were great, the tours were everything I was hoping for, and the Arenal Obs. Lodge (which was your recommendation) was perfect for us. And thanks also for encouraging us to devote sufficient number of days in each of the two locations to fully enjoy them.
I really enjoyed the nature tour in the Monteverde Cloud Forest and our guide Adrian was both capable and helpful in every way. We both enjoyed the Don Juan coffee plantation visit and the guide there was both entertaining and instructive.
Susan was enchanted by Eco Termales in La Fortuna (so was I), and she is still talking about swimming under the waterfall there and the lovely supper.
The Cano Negro / Rio Frio boat trip was a pleasure – and the guides on that trip were also good, but we had to ask the crew to improvise and let Susan stop at a farm near the middle of the voyage for a “call of nature”.
You are probably aware that on the last morning of our transfer from Arenal to Nosara the original driver that had been reserved was sick, and his substitute, Gilbert (who had been our driver the night before to Eco Termales) did not speak any English. As you know, since the drive to Nosara was going to be over 5 hours, I called your colleague on the emergency line to ask for someone who could communicate in English, and I was thankful that your colleague came up with the solution of having professional guide Mariela come along with Gilbert.
This worked out well. Gilbert was a lovely guy but his Spanish was very hard for me to follow, so having Mariela along with us was important – she’s a really bright and knowledgeable young lady whom I would highly recommend! Thanks again for all! MurrayMar/11/2014
just wanted to let you know how my wife Hazel and I enjoyed our recent trip to Costa Rica. Everything was wonderful. The Alta Hotel was fabulous, the food and service were top notch. Zancudo Lodge was probably 5 star in all aspects. Great time fishing there. The Costa Verde hotel room was wonderful, spectacular balcony view. Fishing with Blue Fin Sportfishing was fantastic, they run a first class operation. Time at Tambor Tropical was also great. Everything you arranged for us went off exactly as you planned it, and that is why we keep using your services. Many thanks, we really can’t thank you enough.
We are already starting to plan our next trip; definitely fishing in Quepos, possibly the Zancudo Lodge, and maybe fishing in Panama as well.
Does your company provide services in Panama? If not is there a company you can recommend?
Jose, happy new year- Pura Vida.Jan/17/2014
