Day 1. San José arrival, transfer to Arenal.
Day 2. Morning pick up at your hotel for the Arenal Reserve (Sky Trek / Sky Tram) Tour. Afternoon visit the Arenal Hanging Bridges.
Day 3. Morning tour of the Rain Forest Chocolate Tour. Afternoon pick up at your hotel for Arenal Volcano National Park Hike Tour. Late afternoon, visit the Ecotermales Hot Springs.
Day 4. Early morning pick-up to Pacuare River Rafting tour.
Day 5. Day at leisure at the Pacuare River Lodge
Day 6. Depart by raft and transfer to the Southern Caribbean Coast – Puerto Viejo de Limon
Day 7. Cahuita Snorkeling Tour & hiking in the trail of the Cahuita National Park

Welcome to Costa Rica! Warmly greeted by our representative, who will present you with land portion vouchers and transfer you to your selected hotel in the Arenal Volcano area (approx 3 hours).
Arenal Volcano Area
Morning Arenal Reserve Tour. You will ride an open-air gondola from the ground to the heights where you’ll be dropped off at an observation deck for fantastic views of the volcano and land below. From the observation deck, return to the ground below by riding down on a circuit of zip lines stretching across canyons and between treetops.Enjoy 15 bridges from 5 to 100 meters long, friendly design along 3 km rain forest circuit of interpretive trails built with paving blocks to prevent slipping.
Afternoon visit the hanging bridges. The bridges are built of aluminum, galvanized steel and concrete, to ensure maximum security for their visitors. They were designed by structural engineers with the most demanding safety margins in the world.
Arenal Volcano Area
Morning tour of the Rain Forest Chocolate Tour. In this 2-hour “hands on” program, you will have the opportunity to learn interesting aspects of cocoa and chocolate, from its origin and history, participating in all the production process, from the harvesting of the fruit, drying and grinding of the seed, also the developing of the traditional drink of our ancestors, and of course enjoying a high quality organic chocolate. Enjoy this journey through the history, culture, traditions and the flavor.
Afternoon pick up at your hotel for Arenal Volcano National Park Hike Tour. A “must do” tour in Arenal for sure! This amazing light hike will take you to the very base of the volcano (still at a safe distance), to witness the magnificence of the almost perfectly conical 5479 ft tall Arenal Volcano.
During the hike, our well informed guides will explain you all about the volcano: its activity periods, a little bit of history related to it and will show you some landmarks that have left over the years.
Late afternoon, visit the Ecotermales Hot Springs, a wonderfully authentic environment that offers both privacy and tranquility within the Costa Rican rainforest.
Exciting 1-1½ hour river rafting tour to the Pacuare Lodge (class II-III rapids) where you will enjoy a two night stay at Costa Rica’s premier eco-lodge. After lunch participate an optional canopy tour (not included in package price) or waterfall hike, or simply relax in your private bungalow or suite. Dine on gourmet delicacies by candlelight and then visit our upstairs lounge for a cocktail or refreshment before retiring to a restful night’s sleep.

Puerto Viejo de Limón
In the morning you will depart by raft for an even more fun-filled day of white water rating excitement (approximately 3½ hours over class III-IV rapids), including a delicious picnic lunch along the river and transfer to Puerto Viejo de Limón.
Known for its laidback attitude and famous for it’s surfing, Puerto Viejo beckons visitors to come experience Costa Rica’s eccentric side. The village’s cultural influences are interesting to be sure: a mix of Afro-Caribbean, Bribri. Puerto Viejo has recently become a hit with tourists due to its cultural allure, stunning white-sand beaches, tropical vegetation and its proximity to national parks.
Cahuita Snorkeling Tour is done in a 12-person boat, with a captain and guide, around the Cahuita National Park. There, you will go snorkeling for about two hours in the most important Coral Reef of Costa Rica where you could see: 35 different species of coral, 123 species of tropical fish, 3 species of sharks, 6 species of eels, 3 species of sea urchins, 140 of shellfish, 44 crustaceans, 128 types of algae, sea turtles, sea cucumbers, ocean sponges, lobster, shrimp, among others. You will be provided with snorkeling equipment (mask, fins and snorkel tube).
After Snorkeling, you will be given a tropical fruit snack plus water and then begin the second part of the tour, which is the hiking in the trail of the Cahuita National Park with one ours naturalist tour guides. The guide will take you to different points between Cahuita Point and the town of Cahuita (3.5 km) observing various types of snakes (boas, bocaraca, bush master, eyelash vipers, etc.), sloths, white faced and howler monkeys, anteaters, armadillos, raccoons, blue morpho butterflies among others, birds and many more things such as: medicinal plants, orchids, trees, ferns, vertebrates, invertebrates, sea and earth shellfish, etc.
